Yet again! Rapper Fler gets off on probation

By Anne Losensky

Evade tricky situations before he becomes criminal again: scandal rapper Fler (40) wants to do that in the future. Before his 15th conviction (!) he started: He didn’t come to the trial. He couldn’t freak out like that either.

Again, the notorious criminal gets away with a sky-blue eye! The mild verdict was negotiated: 16 months imprisonment on probation, 10,000 euros to a Berlin club. Despite his impressive criminal record!

The process: Right from the start, everyone agrees: the rapper (“Deutscha Bad Boy”) gets a confession maximum of 18 months imprisonment on probation. But district judge Franziska Bauersfeld emphasizes: “This is not a dirty deal.”

The rapper admitted everything on the first day of the trial and is ashamedeven if he has some in other memories.

The offenses convicted: bodily harm, threat of a crime, insult, property damage, insult, insult, incitement to commit a crime, threat of a crime.

There were nasty swear words for women (“hipster hooker”, “slut”). The threat of breaking a nose for a comedian. The call to kidnap a woman for 2000 euros. An injured cameraman. A smashed TV camera (19,000 euros).

On top of that: The mild sentence even included 10 months’ probation from an old conviction (insults, driving without a license, attempted coercion).

That’s how it is in German criminal law: the more you do, the cheaper it gets…

So why probation again? The judge: “There are no relevant new acts known. This is his last chance here.”
