Johan Derksen thinks that a possible comeback of Joling & Gordon on the floor would mainly be in the interest of Gordon. “I understand that he wants to, because everyone is throwing him up!”
Gerard Joling has debunked the persistent rumors about a comeback of the legendary TV show Joling & Gordon. According to Johan Derksen, the entertainer has nothing to gain from it and it is mainly Gordon who could use this. He left with a bag after his lucrative years at Talpa.
Vomited out
There is only one person who would benefit from this, according to Johan. “They are of course very entertaining together and I understand that Gordon wants it, because he has been vomited up by the whole world,” he says in Show news.
He continues: “But if Gerard does it, he doesn’t do it because he likes Gordon so much, but he does it for money. And that can be a good reason if you are very greedy, like me.”
Solidarity
If Gerard does work with Gordon again, Johan would understand that too. “I can’t blame him. We have been fighting each other out here for twenty years and the amount of the contract maintains solidarity.”
And is René van der Gijp enthusiastic about a comeback by Geer and Goor? “Geer and Goor? Mwoah. Yes, why not?”
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker believes little in Gerard’s denial. “If you say in Hilversum: ‘There is nothing wrong!’, then it is usually a hard confirmation. Certainty also has its duration. What the men of VI also say: if enough money is offered, anything is possible in Hilversum.”
Trail of misery
In any case, Guido does not think that Gordon will get a permanent TV contract. “He has of course… Well, I don’t want to say ‘left a trail of misery’, but of course he has… There is of course always a riotous atmosphere around Gordon. I can imagine that a serious TV company would like to work with him, but only on a project basis.”
He continues: “You can simply hire him per broadcast or series. To be honest, I don’t think there is a single broadcaster that will commit to him for a few more years. Or he will have to behave so differently in the coming years.”
Character assassination
That doesn’t seem to be the case. There are already previews of an interview with Beau van Erven Dorens in which he complains about ‘character assassination’. “That could of course concern a lot of people. He has actually had a fight with everyone who breathes around him,” says Guido.
Isn’t it about that argument with Evert Santegoeds? “Yes, but I don’t think he’s alone in that. I have no idea who he means by that. Again, whatever I say, he just had a fight with everyone, including me, so yeah… It could be anyone.”
