After the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquakes, Yeni Malatyaspor, which was withdrawn from Spor Toto 1st League in the 2022-2023 season, will apply to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for the same decision next season.
Club Press Spokesperson Sinan Altıntop, in a statement to members of the press at a workplace in the city, reminded that they took office with the extraordinary general assembly and said that they made an effort to bring the club to a successful structure in every field.
Explaining that their goal is to stay in the league, but they experienced great difficulties after the earthquake, Altıntop continued his words as follows:
“We are currently struggling to get through these difficult processes and move on to better days in the future. During this process, we sent our football players to other clubs on loan. Right now, our football player brothers have some uneasiness about coming to Malatya. These uneasiness are the place to shelter, the education problem of their children and the continuation of their lives. “They say they have reservations about the issue. We are taking initiatives about it. We have an idea of withdrawing from the league as the administration, and we are in the process of reporting this to the federation. We have held our bilateral meetings, we will make our application.” said.
Pointing out that the contracts of the important players in the squad will expire, Altıntop said, “Due to our transfer ban, we have prepared a budget. We have the idea of withdrawing from the league because our staff will be insufficient at the point of staying in the league. We have to withdraw the team from the league and open the transfer board by coming together with the budget we have allocated and the dynamics of the city. Right now, all our priority is to withdraw the team from the league and we will use the budget to be spent for the league to open the transfer board.” used the phrases.
FIRAT VURAN: “EVEN IF WE CLOSE THE DEBT, WE CANNOT OPEN OUR TRANSFER”
Fırat Vuran, Vice President of Yeni Malatyaspor Club, stated that they made various negotiations to pay off the debt of the team.
Explaining that the debt should be resolved in a short time, Vuran said, “Even if we close the debt, we cannot open our transfer. Since we could not open the transfer, at least we want to withdraw the team from the league and start our transfers in the second period at least and form a team. Our contract with our teacher Yılmaz (Vural) is over, we haven’t been able to talk about the new contract yet. I hope We will come and continue with him. We are satisfied with our teacher Yılmaz, he is doing everything he can for the club. We will open the transfer in the second term. At this point, we want to form the team and fight with our new team in the 2024-2025 season. We continue to work for the Super League with a good team without worrying about the fear of relegation. We will.” he said.

Tax and We have a debt of 5 million TL with SSK, and we will pay it. In our time, no one will have any debt.” made its assessment.
