Relatives, colleagues, Donbass militias and writers attended the farewell ceremony with Prosvirnin. Prosvirnin was buried near the grave of the philosopher and nationalist Konstantin Krylov.

Yegor Prosvirnin died on December 27, falling out of the window of an apartment building on Tverskoy Boulevard near the Armenia store. He was 35 years old. Shortly before that, Prosvirnin had a falling out with his wife and mother-in-law and kicked them out of the apartment.

Prosvirnin created the Sputnik and Pogrom public on VKontakte in 2012. Later, based on it, he created the media. In 2017, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the publication was declared extremist. According to the prosecutor’s office, the site promoted “the idea of ​​ethnic and religious hatred, which creates threats to public safety and encourages extremism.” Sputnik and Pogrom announced its closure in 2018.
