Els Kennis from Vught and her daughter have been terrorized for eight years by her daughter’s ex-boyfriend (51). On Saturday, an attempt was made to set fire to her daughter’s car. “It is incredible that he gets away with it every time,” sighs a despondent alder.

The terror, that’s how it feels for Els, started eight years ago, when her daughter ended a short relationship with the man. Since then, the ex-boyfriend Els and her family have a grip, there would be more than fifty incidents. Then, according to Els, it is about several leaks, car fires, several grabbed windows and daubing of their houses and cars.

“He still can’t cope with it eight years after the end of the relationship. In addition to all the destruction and arson, he also puts everything in the letterbox with my daughter. He even writes texts on her house. I can do something, for it causes so much unrest. You have to look all the way over your shoulder. Sometimes I come across it. ELLS.

On Saturday afternoon it was hit again and Els assumes that it was again the ex-boyfriend who tried to set fire to her daughter’s car. “And that while he had already thrown a stone through the window two weeks earlier,” says Els, looking at her living room window that has been repaired provisionally.

In exactly the same place as on Saturday the car was set on fire, her own car went up in flames five years ago. “Then there was another camera here. You saw him sneaking around with his back to the camera, but you couldn’t see his face. I don’t drive a car anymore so the camera is gone, but here he just did it again.”

According to Els, the police also know who is behind the attacks. “My daughter has cameras hanging at her house and then you see him crawling through the bushes. Moments later you hear the hiss when he leaks her car tires.”

The ex-boyfriend has already been in court but he has not been convicted. And that still can’t contain Els. “He denies that he is on the images and is not clear to recognize. I just didn’t know what I heard.”

The police are aware of the situation. She is again looking for witnesses of last Saturday’s arson. She asks people who have seen something striking between half past five and half past six on the Rouppe van der Voortlaan in Vught to report this.

“It really has to stop, because it can be dangerous to all small children in the neighborhood,” Els sighs.
