The Viernheim golf pro Yannik Paul is in the lead after the first round of the DP World Tour tournament Scandinavian Mixed in Stockholm.
The 29-year-old played a 65 on the par 72 course, as did the Dane Niklas Nörgaard. Paul, the number 108 best German in the world rankings, scored eight birdies with just one bogey on his second hole.
Yannik Paul celebrated his first triumph on the DP World Tour at the Mallorca Open last year. In Stockholm, Nicolai von Dellingshausen (Hubbelrath) also made a good start in seventh place with 67 strokes.
The best female participant on the first day was the Swede Elin Arvidsson in tenth place with 68 strokes.
