T.adorns the Yamm Festival, in its fourth edition. Pandemic, energy crisis and war have not brought this international yoga festival to its knees, which takes place in the pine forest of Cervia the next 10-11 and 12 June. Indeed, this year, inclusion is an even more felt theme: at the center of the event it is foreseen a unique, symbolic meeting between Russian-Ukrainian teachers. To demonstrate that yoga can be both an instrument and an engine of inclusion and peace.
Yoga for everyBODY
Yoga is for everyBODY is the driving theme of this fourth edition: it is the idea of a practice accessible to all bodies and social and gender identities, also accompanied by an urgency to seek an ever more necessary peace, inside and out: peace also invoked by the Sanskrit word “Shanti”, which often occurs in yogic practice and which means peace.
“If we want to give a message of openness, inclusion and peace, we can start with ourselves. Immersed as we are in a constant flow of negative information, our nervous system is often over-stimulated, inducing in us feelings of fear and conflict that make us feel separate and distant from other human beings “underline the organizers.
It must be accessible to all
“The practice of Yoga provides us with the tools to overcome this reactivity, giving us calm and a more objective look. And precisely for this reason it is essential that this practice be accessible to all identities marginalized and excluded from this fundamental discipline of healing on social, economic, racial bases, physical aspect and above all of gender identity ».
