At least 6.6 million hectares of forest will be lost worldwide by 2022, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) noted in several reports on Tuesday. That is an increase of 4 percent compared to a year earlier. This means that the promise of world leaders to stop deforestation by 2030 is still far from sight.
