30 scorers in Regionalliga Bayern
Ivan Franjic has scored 13 goals and 17 assists for the Würzburger Kickers in the Bavarian Regionalliga. Only top scorer Patrick Hobsch (26 goals/6 assists) from champion SpVgg Unterhaching has even better values. According to Transfermarkt information, several second and third division clubs have observed the 25-year-old offensive all-rounder in recent weeks.
“I am very happy that this season is going so well for me, the team and the club. Of course we had the common goal to move up, but sometimes we just didn’t have the necessary luck,” Franjic tells TM. That’s how football is. “Nevertheless, we all work very hard every day to get the best out of it. Of course it’s flattering and a confirmation of my hard work to hear about interest from higher-tier clubs. But what counts is the here and now. At the moment I’m enjoying the trust of the coaching team and every minute on the pitch. I still have many goals, everything else remains to be seen.”
Franjic, once trained in Bayer Leverkusen’s youth and with both feet, moved from FSV Frankfurt to Würzburg in 2022 and is still under contract there until 2024. For the midfielder with a market value of 200,000 euros, a transfer fee might be due. Agent George Amartey emphasizes: “Ivan worked hard and took his chance. I am happy for him that he is now reaping the rewards. As long as he keeps working on himself and stays healthy, I trust him with everything. Together we will make the best decision for his future path when the time comes. Of course we are also in talks with his current club. Würzburg, its officials and the entire coaching staff and team are very important to Ivan and everyone has always behaved more than correctly. Ivan is absolutely focused on the ongoing league and that’s all that counts right now.”
