Author Kaari Utrion’s, 80-year-old car trip ended wildly on Saturday. Utrio says on his Facebook page that his car skidded into a ditch.
He shared a photo from the scene of the accident, where his Kia car is lying on a slant in a snowy ditch. The accident happened in Somero.

He is best known for his historical novels. Utrio’s career has spanned more than six decades. His most recent work was called Hupsu rakishkus, which was published in 2017.
Four years ago, the author publicly announced that he would not publish any more works.
– Writing has given me enormous joy and brought order to life. However, I have a career of more than 50 years behind me, so that’s enough. I was 75 years old when my last novel came out, so from that point of view I’ve already done my job, Utrio told Salon Seudun Sanom in 2019.
