Wrestling legend Scott Hall dies of triple heart attack

He was one of the biggest wrestling stars of the ’90s, winning title after title in his prime. Scott Hall died on Monday at the age of 63. This was confirmed by World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. in a post on Twitter.

The ex-wrestler, who rose to fame in the 1990s, had three as a result of hip surgery, according to US media heart attacks suffered and has been dependent on life support equipment ever since.

Wrestler Kevin Nash said goodbye to his friend via Instagram last Monday. He formed team The Outsiders with Scott in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in the 1990s. Nash wrote in sadness: “Once his family is in place they will remove life support. I will lose the one person on this planet with whom I have spent more of my life than anyone else. My heart is broken and I’m so damn sad. I love Scott with all my heart, but now I have to prepare my life without him.”

“Couldn’t love anyone more than you”

Hall’s best friend continued, “I’m blessed to have a friend who took me at face value and I took him at face value. When we went to WCW, we didn’t care who liked us or hated us. We were the ‘outsiders ‘ but we had each other. Scott always felt he wasn’t worthy of the afterlife. Well god please have some gold plated toothpicks for my brother. My life has been enriched by his attitude towards life. See you Scott . I couldn’t love anyone more than you.”

Hall’s breakthrough came in 1992 in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) (then called the World Wrestling Federation, WWF), which produces and markets wrestling shows and TV shows. The wrestling star competed under the name “Razor Ramon” and quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers. In 2014, Scott Hall was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He said at the time: “Hard work pays off, dreams come true. Bad times don’t last, but bad guys do.”

Hall has also struggled with serious health issues over the years, including as a result of alcohol and drug abuse. In 2010, he underwent surgery to have a pacemaker and defibrillator installed.

Now the wrestlers of the scene mourn him. Ex-wrestler John Layfield also dedicated a post to Hall before his death on Twitter, writing on the network: “All my love, respect and prayers to Scott Hall. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for you, brother.”
