Celebrating the 75th anniversary of US denim brand Wrangler, it has collaborated with Grammy Award winner Leon Bridges, who became Wrangler’s men’s global ambassador in 2022. Now he invites fans to a series of NFT drops that offer exclusive fashion, music and art experiences.
“Fashion, technology and music all influence us and I love the way Wrangler blends all three on this ‘wild ride’. With Wrangler, I connect my Texas roots and the essence of who I am, and I’m honored to help the brand celebrate its history while shaping the future,” Bridges said in a press release
Part of the planned two-part NFT campaign, launching this month, are 75 digitally animated icon-tier NFTs featuring one of Bridges’ signature dance moves. Each of these NFTs grants collectors access to digital communities, virtual Wrangler wearables in the metaverse, and a VIP pass to a private appearance by Leon Bridges at New York Fashion Week in September 2022, which is an invitation-only event. After completing the seven-day auction on the Ltd.inc platform, these 75 digital NFTs can be traded on secondary NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea.
Then in September, Wrangler will also feature and auction a one-of-a-kind Legendary NFT featuring a replica of Wrangler’s denim jacket and denim outfit designed for Leon Bridges.
The suit, which comes in a custom-made “retro-futuristic” case, is the only example that exists outside of Bridges’ private archives. It has been carefully constructed and populated with digital content sewn into its seams, giving the auction winner exclusive access to the content Bridges created just for him/her. The associated 1:1 digital NFT will represent ownership of this artwork on the blockchain, which will be exclusively found on the Ltc.inc platform, where there are exclusive properties.
“Wrangler is a brand that has always been inspired by and thrives in the Wild West. The Metaverse is just the next destination for us. We’re celebrating 75 years of history by stepping into the future of fashion and looking over the horizon at what’s next. We can’t wait to celebrate with Leon Bridges and all of our fans through this series of unexpected physical, digital and metaverse experiences,” said Tom Waldron, Wrangler Global Brand President.
For fans who haven’t been able to purchase one of the limited NFTs, Wrangler will be hosting a full-scale event in the metaverse called “Wranglerverse” in September.
