Wouter Deprez is in Concertgebouw Brugge for the eleventh time and for a good cause: more forests in Flanders and Congo

This is not only a stunt, but also a first for the history books of Concertgebouw Brugge. It is the very first time in history that someone has performed the same performance eleven times in Concertgebouw Brugge. Flanders is storming for its performance. So far, a total of 12,000 spectators have come to Bruges.

It promises to be a unique edition. The benefit performance benefits two afforestation projects, the Concertgebouwbos in Bruges and Faja Lobi in Congo. Deprez himself came up with the idea to dedicate his eleventh show to these two projects. Comedyshows.be is responsible for the organization of this performance. Both Wouter Deprez, Concertgebouw Brugge and Comedyshows.be are committed to the projects. The entire proceeds therefore go to both afforestation projects.

Wouter Deprez: “I have great appreciation for people who want to commit themselves to such fantastic projects. Very impressive to see what the people of Faja Lobi have achieved in such a relatively short period of time. Moreover, it is not just about reforestation, but it is also very sustainable in terms of socio-economically on site. For example, the project offers jobs to 580 in Congo, but a hospital, carpentry workshop, restaurant and internet café have also been built in the meantime. The local Concertgebouwbos project is also great to support. I often play in the Concertgebouw, which is great to see that such initiatives are also coming from their side.”
