To estimate
A witness told police that the truck driver continued to drive after the collision. However, the police now state that the witness did not estimate the situation correctly. The officers at the scene assumed a collision due to the statement and the situation on the spot, the police said.

Badly injured
The man’s injuries are also less serious than first thought. It was first reported that he was seriously injured, but it now appears that the fall left him with wounds on his hands and face. Police are no longer investigating the accident.
