The technology giant Apple announced augmented reality glasses. The glasses are called Vision Pro.

With the glasses, the user gets so-called augmented reality in his field of vision. In practice, this means that, for example, computer software becomes visible to the user’s eyes on top of the real world. Augmented reality technology has been around for some time, but Apple has honed this to the pinnacle with its glasses, and instead of AR, they call it XR.

Vision Pro’s own VisionOS operating system has been developed, which allows the user to navigate the menus with eye and hand movements. The glasses use the silicon-based M2 chip that is also familiar in computers, so the glasses have more computing power than a small village.

Technology-filled ski goggles

The appearance of the glasses certainly divides opinion, even though the company advertises them as a great design. Goggles like ski goggles are not a very street-credible sight, but at home or in the office, they are supposed to be used in their own way.

The glasses seem to bring a new kind of experience to watching movies or playing games. The company promises more than 4K accurate image for both eyes. The glasses also have a built-in audio system that brings sound directly to the user’s ears.

To support video calls, for example in Zoom, the glasses scan the user and personalize the user and his gestures for the video call with the help of artificial intelligence.

The battery that is transported at the end of Piuha is promised to last two hours. The glasses can also be used with mains power. The glasses are connected to the computer wirelessly.

You can also pay for Apple quality. The price for glasses run away from science fiction is a meager 3,500 dollars, or about 3,260 euros. In terms of the price, it’s not about the whole nation’s device, but presumably the announcement of these will open up a larger market and competitors will bring their own versions of these.

The glasses will be available in the US next year.
