Some report parking offenders in the no-parking zone, others report sidewalk parkers. Since December 2019, 64,870 reports have been received by the Berlin fines office via the illegal parking app “weg.li”. That makes 13,683 points in Flensburg and more than 2.5 million euros in fines.

Apparently the app is well used – would that be something for you too?

In our previous question of the day, we wanted to know from you: Do you think that Berlin needs more car-free streets? More than 10,000 Berliners voted. 76 percent (7616 votes) say NO, they no longer need car-free streets. Only 21 percent (2098) say YES. 4 percent (357 votes) say “I don’t care, I’ll take the train”.
