The skate world association World Skate welcomes the IOC’s latest recommendation to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete again under strict neutrality.
The association, which includes the Olympic skateboarders, supports the reintegration so that “individuals are not discriminated against because of their nationality,” said World Skate on Thursday.
The association is now working in consultation with the International Olympic Committee to develop the necessary review processes “to enable and plan for the return of these athletes”.
