THE UNHCR data are dramatic: in the world every two seconds a person is forced to leave their home for fear of wars, epidemics, persecutions, natural disasters. In all, there are 120 million people, and there are 26 million minors among them. June 20, World Refugee Day, is an opportunity to remember them and take stock of some reception projects in our country.
Among the many initiatives in progress, it is worth mentioning Community Matchingmade by UNHCR ITALIA with Refugees Welcome Italia and Ciac Onlus, who so far He involved 3400 between refugees, asylum seekers, stateless ones and volunteers. It is a combination between a volunteer (Buddy) and a refugee, to whom help is offered to facilitate access to services, home and work. But it’s not just about giving a hand; A bridge is created, a relationship of trust that allows the refugee to feel less alone and to the volunteer to go down in the reality of his protected, and to know those who come from another world.
THE’Arci promotes i Refuge circles- More corridors for freedom: The goal is to make sure and protected humanitarian corridors work for those who run away from countries at risk such as Libya, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. So far 286 people arrived with this system in Italy, But other corridors are scheduled for 2025 and 2026. The program is not limited to the transfer; For those who enter Italy, language, legal orientation, professional training and accompaniment to work are also organized.

Help from the funds of 8 × 1000
