The global sustainability initiative for good has announced a strategic partnership with Altmat today: a groundbreaking material research company that converts agricultural waste into high -quality materials.
Altmat was one of the nine participants in 2020: inside the first South Asian accelerator program from Fashion for Good. In 2022, the company was together with the Laudes Foundation, partners and five other innovator: Inside also part of the Fashion for Good Projekt ‘Untapped Agricultural Waste’
A result of the latest partnership is the new Altag Fibre Club, which brings together a consortium of global partners: inside the value chain. Together they want to accelerate the commercial introduction of Next-Gen fibers made of agricultural fabrics on a large scale and thus support the transition of the industry to circulatory materials.

“The further development of the Fibre Club with Altmat is an important step in the scaling of innovative materials with real commercial potential,” comments Katrin Ley, managing director of Fashion for Good, in a press release.

The cooperation model builds on the first Fibre Club of Fashion for Good with the textile-to-textile recycler Circ in 2024 in cooperation with Canopy.
