The game between Belgium and Wales seemed to be a clear matter for the Belgians in the first half – but then a real roller coaster ride developed.
The goals for the hosts scored Romelu Lukaku by penalty (15th minute), Youri Tielemans (19th) and Jérémy Doku (27th), Harry Wilson met for Wales by penalty (45.+7), Sorba Thomas (51.) and Brennan Johnson (70.). Kevin de Bruyne (88th minute) scored the winning goal for the hosts.
Lukaku had scored for redemption for Belgium just a few minutes before de Bruynes vileum -cheered hits – however, the ball was supposed to be in the end. After minutes long “goal check” the decision was made: no goal and long faces with the Belgians. The jubilation was all the greater at the end.
