World Cup opens with duel between the Netherlands and Senegal

The Dutch national team will kick off the World Cup in Qatar at the end of this year. The group match against Senegal has become the opening match of the tournament instead of the game between home country Qatar and Ecuador. The world football association FIFA has announced this.

Usually the opening game of a World Cup is played by the organizing country. FIFA has now come up with the start times of the matches. This shows that the Netherlands will open the World Cup against Senegal on Monday, November 21 at 11 a.m. and home country Qatar will kick off against Ecuador at 5 p.m.

Ecuador will be Orange’s second opponent on November 25. The third group match of the Dutch national team is on November 29 against Qatar.
