Because the ski jumping equipment has not arrived in Sapporo, several nations have to worry about the World Cup ski jumping.

The FIS confirmed this on its homepage. As the website “skisprung.com” reports, the luggage of the teams from Canada, Slovenia, Romania and Kosovo did not arrive in Sapporo.

Therefore the qualification had to be postponed to Saturday. It was actually supposed to take place on Friday. The luggage is “stuck in Tokyo,” quotes “skisprung.com” from Canadian head coach Janko Zwitter.

Top jumpers affected

Some prominent jumpers are affected by the delay, such as Abigail Strate and Alexandria Loutitt (both Canada) as well as Nika Prevc, Nika Kriznar and Ema Klinec (all Slovenia).

The women’s World Cup ski jumping in Sapporo is scheduled to start on Saturday at 8 a.m. German time.
