The German gymnasts missed the team final at the World Championships in Liverpool. Lukas Dauser is twice on course for the final.

Lukas Dauser and his teammates Nils Dunkel, Andreas Toba, Pascal Brendel and Glenn Trebing scored 243.292 points in their qualifying competition in Liverpool. They were only in ninth place before the last round. Only eight teams are allowed to compete in the medal final on Wednesday.

Previously, the weakened German women’s team had also missed the team final of the eight best teams.

On parallel bars, Tokyo Games silver medalist Dauser was rewarded with 15.40 points. In the intermediate classification that meant third place. Participation in the decision on his flagship device on Sunday should hardly be taken away from the 29-year-old.

In the all-around, too, Dauser is on course for the final with 80.431 points, despite two relegations on high bar and pommel horse.
