The draw for the 8 groups of 4 teams that will give life to the first phase of Qatar 2022 took place in Doha
The World Cup, to avoid the terrifying summer temperatures in Qatar, will take place from 21 November to 18 December. And here is the overview of the groups:
GROUP A
–
Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands.
GROUP B
–
England, Iran, USA and European playoff winner (Scotland / Ukraine-Wales)
GROUP C
–
Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
GROUP D
–
France, first playoff winner (Australia / Emirates-Peru,) Denmark and Tunisia.
GROUP E
–
Spain, Costa Rica or New Zealand, Germany and Japan.
GROUP F
–
Belgium, Canada, Morocco and Croatia.
GROUP G
–
Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon.
GROUP H
–
Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea.
THE DRAW
–
For Italy the regret is growing: if it had earned the qualification through the playoffs it would have ended up in group H, objectively affordable. Good pairings also for England, Holland and Argentina, while Spain and Germany will have to be careful not to give anything to Japan. Group D is not easy either, with France, one of the big favorites, which will have Denmark, Tunisia and probably Peru. The other iron group is the G: Brazil will have two tough Europeans like Switzerland and Serbia in addition to the always dangerous Cameroon.
