Referee Daniel Siebert whistles a game

Status: 11/24/2022 5:38 p.m

Daniel Siebert celebrates his premiere at a football World Cup on Saturday. The FIFA referee will officiate the match between Tunisia and Australia.

The 38-year-old gets his first appearance on the second day of the game. For Siebert it is the first participation in a world championship, last year he already officiated three games at the European championship.

He made a solid impression in the Euro group matches between Scotland and the Czech Republic, Sweden and Slovakia and the match between Wales and Denmark in the round of 16.

German quintet and a referee from Honduras

Siebert is assisted by his two assistants, Rafael Foltyn and Jan Seidel. Said Martinez (Honduras) completes Saturday’s team of referees as the fourth official. Bastian Dankert is the video referee, assisted by Marco Fritz.
