Most Valuable Player

South Korea’s captain Heung-Min Son has to undergo facial surgery three weeks before the first World Cup match against Uruguay and is therefore concerned about his game in Qatar. The operation was necessary to “stabilize a fracture around his left eye,” said Tottenham Hotspur after the 2-1 (0-1) win in the Champions League against Olympique Marseille. Son had to be substituted on Tuesday evening after 29 minutes.
