Germany’s exceptional runner Konstanze Klosterhalfen will not start over 10,000 meters at the World Championships in Athletics in Eugene/USA on Saturday.
Instead, the 25-year-old wants to concentrate on the 5000 meters on Wednesday, as the German Athletics Association announced.
Klosterhalfen won World Championship bronze over this distance three years ago in Doha. In preparation for the World Cup in the USA, she was affected by a corona disease.
Alina Reh and Sara Benfarès will also start over 5000 meters.
