The Berlin water jumper Christina Wassen took twelfth place in the decision from the tower at the World Championships in Budapest. After a few mistakes in her five jumps, Wassen scored 253.80 points.
World Champion was 16-year-old Chinese Chen Yuxi with 417.25 points and three tenths ahead of 15-year-old Quan Hongchan, also from China. Third place went to Pandelela Pamg from Malaysia.
Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan were frenetically cheered by a large crowd of Chinese supporters who bathed the Duna Arena in a sea of red flags and T-shirts.
