Sophie Chauveau actually wanted to take part in the Biathlon World Cup in Utah. But she didn’t come into the country.
French biathlon world champion Sophie Chauveau has been refused entry to the USA. As the 24-year-old announced on Instagram, she will therefore miss the World Cup starting Friday in Soldier Hollow in the US state of Utah. There were problems with her Esta entry form, wrote Chauveau.
But the season isn’t over for them yet; Chauveau wants to be there again at the season finale next week in Canmore, Canada. She won the gold medal with the women’s relay at the World Championships in February in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.
