Füchse Berlin and the Danish backcourt player Jacob Holm are now going their separate ways. The club announced on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old world champion from 2021 and 2023 would have had an ongoing contract until 2024, but is now switching early to the French first division club Paris Saint-Germain.
It was agreed not to disclose the transfer fee paid by PSG.
“Jacob informed us at an early stage about his intention to change. I very much regret the departure and would have wished that he had played for the Foxes for a few more years,” said Foxes Managing Director Bob Hanning.
Five years in Berlin, 573 goals
spar came to Berlin from the Danish first division club Ribe-Esbjerg for the 2018/2019 season, where he scored 573 goals and provided 262 assists in 159 Bundesliga games. In the DHB Cup and in the European League he scored a total of 275 times.
“I would like to thank all Füchse fans for five fantastic years. The foxes and their fans will always have a big place in my handball heart,” said Holm, who said goodbye to Berlin after winning the European League this year.
