Working asylum seekers will soon have to pay a “fair contribution” for a place in the reception network

Early next year, the Federal Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (Fedasil) will start collecting a “fair contribution” from asylum seekers who are working and staying in the reception network. State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Nicole de Moor (CD&V) has stated this in the House. “Someone who works sufficiently can also vouch for his own needs and should not be taken care of by the government,” said the State Secretary.
