Serious accident on Tuesday evening in Tempelhof! There, a worker was buried in a pit.

The drama happened at a construction site on Burgemeisterstrasse. From the man only the top part of the upper body looked out!

With shovels and buckets, the emergency services dug the man free and set a sheet piling to prevent the sand from sliding down. The worker was freed after around 40 minutes, during which time he had already been treated by an emergency doctor.

According to BZ information, the man was seriously injured and was taken to a nearby hospital with suspected internal injuries.

The police and the Berlin State Office for Occupational Safety, Health Protection and Technical Safety (LAGetSi) are now investigating how the serious accident at work could have happened.
