Worker falls into construction pit in Kortrijk, construction crane on site retrieves him

The accident happened around half past two this afternoon, at the Conservatoriumplein in Kortrijk. The worker fell into a deep construction pit. “The RISK team of the fire brigade was able to get him out of the pit in a stretcher with the help of a construction crane on the site,” says Piet Beirlaen of the fire brigade. “The man’s condition was stable, he was then taken to hospital,” Beirlaen said.
