Work zone gas explosion Ostend will be resumed
Work on the corner of Christinastraat and Ooststraat (the zone affected by the gas explosion) was halted for a while by order of the public prosecutor’s office. The public prosecutor’s office has now announced that the construction zone is being released.
This means that the road and sewerage works will be restarted. In concrete terms, the remaining sewage works will be carried out this week. The sewage pump is also removed. Next week the utility companies (Fluvius, Farys, …) will carry out repairs to the pipes. We will then start with the finishing of the superstructure. The end of the works in this zone is foreseen for the beginning of March 2023.
