Women’s Tour de l’Avenir, Realini closes on the podium: she is third

The 22-year-old from Abruzzo concludes the triptych of placings in the great stage races of 2023 after third places in the Vuelta and Giro. In yellow the Dutchman Van Anrooij

Another podium for Gaia Realini, the 22-year-old from Abruzzo from Lidl-Trek who this year had already finished in third place – these are just two examples – in the Vuelta and the Giro d’Italia. Realini, Italian Under 23 in charge, finished third in the final classification of the Tour de l’Avenir Femmes for National Teams. The success went to the Dutch Shirin Van Anrooij, also first in the last stage (98 km and finish line in Sante Foy Tarentaise) which Realini finished in fourth place. Thus the general classification: Van Anrooij won with 2’15” on the British Anna Shackley and 3’50” precisely on Realini.
