The lawyers are trying to have the legal framework tied as soon as possible to communicate the dismissal of the technician

Pedro Rocha, the president, meets this afternoon at the CSD and it seems difficult for him to arrive with the dismissal closed

The Spanish Football Federation is speeding up the procedures to be able to announce the dismissal of Jorge Vilda as soon as possible. The decision has been made, but the legal procedure is lengthening and until there is no certainty that everything is okthe departure of the technician will not be announced.

The interim president, Pedro Rocha, has been working since Monday at the federation headquarters addressing all outstanding issues. Rocha must meet this afternoon (5:30 p.m.) with the president of the Higher Sports Council, Víctor Francos, and will explain the current situation in the Federation.

One of the issues that I wanted to convey is the change of coach of the women’s team, but it seems difficult to get the approval of the lawyers on time. Vilda has one more year on her contract, until 2024, but also a verbal offer of Luis Rubiales to renew for four more years at a rate of half a million euros by season.

This situation has led to an in-depth analysis of the legal department so that the termination is formalized without any loose ends or possible irregularities.

Vilda, meanwhile, is on vacation in Chiclana on vacation to the expectations of the movements that may occur in the Federation.

Tomé, Sánchez Vera and Bermúdez, alternatives

Montse Tomé, Vilda’s second, seems the best candidate to replace him, as SPORT could confirmalthough the names of the Levante coach, Sánchez Vera, and the U19 coach, Sonia Bermúdez, also sound.

Tomé and the rest of Jorge Vilda’s coaching staff made their position available to the Federation after the Extraordinary Assembly in which Luis Rubiales clung to his position and opted for the continuity of the still women’s coach.
