A woman was injured this afternoon at the Muiderbos in Hoofddorp after an elderly woman drove backwards and hit her. The victim was trapped between the car and a bench
A spokesperson for the police tells NH that the elderly driver drove backwards and the woman who was involved in an accident ‘unfortunately ended up between the bench and the car’.
Minor damage
It is not clear whether the victim was sitting on the bench or standing next to it. Photos show that the bench is completely destroyed, the car is also severely damaged.
“Fortunately, the woman who died in an accident was quite approachable, but she was so injured that she had to be taken to hospital,” says the spokesperson.
The driver of the car was not arrested by the police, but she was taken to the police station to be questioned.
