Woman takes a 20 euro note from a boy (13) at the fair to gamble

A woman took a twenty euro note from a boy at the fair in Helmond on Wednesday. He accidentally dropped the note. When he went to pick it up, the woman put her foot on the note and put it in her pocket. Community police officer Niels had never eaten it so salty and that is why he went to get a story from the woman.

How low can you be, community police officer Niels wondered. Shortly before, the boy had told his story to the officer in a trembling voice and in tears. The boy had asked the woman for the money back, but was told ‘no’ by her.

“I have already experienced a lot in my police career that surprised me, but this takes the cake,” writes Niels on Instagram. He normally keeps an eye on the funfair and has to act soon.

Goosebumps
And that’s what Niels did. He promised the boy to do his best to get the money back. At that moment, the woman was still playing on a machine at the fair. “I asked her to go to a quiet place to discuss someone else. There I told her the boy’s story with goosebumps on my arms,” says Niels.

The woman initially denied. “When I told her that there are security cameras everywhere on the fairgrounds and that I would do everything possible to get the twenty euros back, she tacked. She took the €20 note from her bag.”

“Unbelievable! How low can you be as an adult woman to a small child. That’s what I said to the woman in question.” The woman was evicted from the fairgrounds by the police.

Soon after, the boy’s mother came to the fair. “She does not file a report and was satisfied with the handling,” writes Niels.
