For her “prince” she became a criminal. “I’m so sorry,” wails the beauty (27) with the long, jet-black hair in front of the district court.
Let’s call her Rapunzel*. However, she didn’t delight with beguiling singing in a remote tower, instead cheating with the lousy grandson trick!
On May 5, 2020, she rang the bell of an 88-year-old pensioner in Moabit. An accomplice had previously lied to the old lady on the phone about being her physiotherapist. She was in short-term financial difficulties because of a request for payment.
Rapunzel accepted two bags with a total of 80,000 (!) euros as an alleged employee of the district court at the apartment door. “I did it for the love of him,” she sighs at the trial. Without even looking at her “Prince” Valentino (32, also in the dock).
Almost three weeks earlier, the bearded American had taken 30,000 euros from a trusting senior (81). Here, too, a call came from the crooks’ headquarters: with the terrible news of a nephew’s alleged traffic accident. Supposedly dead! Release from prison only on bail!
According to their own statements, the wages for the two collectors were only meager: a thousand instead of the promised 3000 euros for him. Apparently, Rapunzel only got one pair of new shoes. After all, the gang bosses also have to live.
Instead of a magnificent castle, Rapunzel gets probation and Valentino goes to jail! She has a year, eight months probation for gang cheating. Two years imprisonment without parole for the relevant prince. And her love? Long gone…
