The facts date from last weekend, although the exact circumstances are still unclear for the time being. But according to our sources, a woman was allegedly raped. She was reportedly found on Antwerpenplein, just behind Gent-Dampoort station, and helped by a De Lijn bus driver.
The prosecutor’s office declined to comment for the time being. In late February, a former president was sentenced to 14 months in jail after he was found guilty of raping and assaulting two fellow students. In November, a young woman was raped in café Noot Noot during a party that was completely aimed at going out safely.
