Woman plunges into pond and gets caught by alligators | Abroad

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was thrown into the water for unknown reasons on Friday evening and had difficulty keeping afloat. Her thrashing attracted two alligators, which grabbed the poor woman. When emergency services arrived, the woman was already dead. The two alligators were captured and removed by specialists.

It is the third fatal alligator incident in the southern United States in two months. In May, 47-year-old Thomas McGuinness was attacked while searching a pond for Frisbees from the nearby disc golf course in Largo, Florida. Several weeks later, on June 24, an as yet unidentified man was dragged into a pond in South Carolina by an alligator and killed.

In addition, at least five attacks were reported, which were not fatal.
