A 42-year-old man from Oss has been sentenced to three years in prison because he cut his girlfriend in her forehead with a knife in her house and threatened to kill her. The woman was left with a permanent 6-centimeter scar on her forehead.
The court also ruled that the inhabitant of Oss must be treated for his psychological problems. He was also banned from contacting the woman and their children for five years.

According to the court, the man had gone crazy after reading text messages between his girlfriend and another man. A week earlier, he had already warned via WhatsApp that he would inflict “serious disfiguring injury” on her. He also threatened her with death.
After reading the messages between his girlfriend and the man, he took a knife from his own house, got into his car and drove to the victim. In her house, he put a knife to her throat and started yelling at her. When she fell, the man kicked her and slashed her forehead.
Personality disorder
According to the judge, the man does not shy away from using heavy violence and threatening to do so. The man was also guilty of serious violent crimes a long time ago.
The judge also took into account a personality disorder in the Ossenaar. For this reason, among other things, he also received a one-year suspended prison sentence, which he must serve if he does not comply with agreements with the probation service.
