A motorist had an angel on his shoulder at the Scheepstal in Helmond on Tuesday afternoon. The car she was driving went straight on the slippery road, through a fence in front of the river Aa and slid down. Her car hovered just above the water.
The woman was removed from the car by emergency workers and checked in an ambulance. But as far as we know, she was not injured in the crash.
She was brought home by emergency workers.
Freezing snow and ice
A recovery company was called to remove the car from the water.
The road surface at the Scheepstal is quite slippery due to freezing snow and ice.
