A woman has filed a lawsuit against American rapper TI and his wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris over sexual abuse that allegedly took place in 2005. This is reported by the magazine, among others Rolling Stone. It is not the first time that the couple has been accused of sexual misconduct.
The unnamed woman says in court documents that she met TI and his wife at a club. The woman claims Tiny gave her a drink that may have contained something. Ultimately, the woman ended up with the couple in their hotel room. The couple initiated sex, but the woman became unwell and lost consciousness. Later she woke up in a lot of pain.
The allegations are very similar to an earlier complaint against the couple from 2021. Prosecutors did not pursue the case at the time because the alleged abuse would have expired. The new charges were filed under the Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act. This law makes it possible to still initiate lawsuits regarding sexual misconduct, even though they have actually already expired.
In a joint statement to Rolling Stone the rapper and his wife deny the accusations. “This plaintiff has been threatening to file this lawsuit for three years. We have emphatically denied these allegations for three years,” the couple said. In recent years, the couple has been accused of sexual misconduct. TI and his wife have repeatedly denied the allegations.
