Biting Berliner: Because she bit a police officer like a pit bull in the leg, a woman from Prenzlauer Berg stood before the Berlin district court on Monday.
Tiergarten District Court. Accused: Kristina P. (39), “carpenter and philosopher” according to the Internet.
The night of March 3, 2023: A roof truss is on fire in Paul-Robeson-Strasse. Hundreds of firefighters are on duty, the fire brigade balance sheet in the morning: one person in the clinic, three cats rescued, house soaked from top to bottom with extinguishing water – including the suspect’s apartment.
The defendant must have been out of control: Safety tape broken, cops slapped and kicked in the shins, fingernails rammed into cops arms, kicked cops genitals, bite cops leg (above knee).
She only wanted to get medicine from the burning house, she says: “I’m shocked because it hit people who were just doing their job. But I was in a panic.” After a workshop fire years ago, she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, and the fire triggered her.
“The lady would not be spoken to,” says a police officer (24). “For a minute she was biting the leg. We only broke the bite by hitting her back. There was a bite wound, despite the tight trousers.” Like other colleagues, he also received a letter of apology from her: “I think it’s basically good to own up to mistakes. But we don’t have to let ourselves be kicked, hit or bited!”
The accused sheepishly: “You are absolutely right. I admit everything. I’m very sorry for everything.” She is in psychological treatment.
The judge is merciful: no previous convictions, the case is closed if she pays 1,500 euros.
