A 71-year-old woman from Krommenie died this morning in a serious accident on the N9 near Julianadorp. Her husband (75) was seriously injured in the single-vehicle accident. It is unknown how the accident could have happened, the police are currently investigating.
A car collided with a tree on the N9 near Julianadorp this morning around 10 a.m. A woman and a 75-year-old man were seriously injured. A police spokesman said the 71-year-old woman died of her injuries. Her 75-year-old husband was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The N9 at Julianadorp has been closed to traffic for quite some time.

The N9 is a notorious road when it comes to serious accidents. Accidents regularly occur on the provincial road, resulting in injuries or deaths. Rijkswaterstaat is working on a plan to make the road a little safer, but the million they have received for this is not enough to take really drastic measures.
