Dramatic scenes on Thursday evening in Buckow!
As the police announced on Friday, the 35-year-old driver of the Renault SUV is said to have been on the Marienfelder Chaussee towards Lichtenrader Damm around 7:15 p.m. when he turned just before the intersection and continued towards Künheimer Weg.
He is said to have felt resistance under his car, whereupon he stopped and made the horrifying discovery. A 56-year-old woman was under his vehicle. She died at the scene of the accident.
Witnesses reported on site that the SUV driver initially did not notice the woman under his car and dragged her along for several meters, which the police did not initially confirm.
According to BZ information, the 35-year-old man and a woman were in the SUV. The trunk was loaded with purchases. The man was allowed to get them out of the car after the terrible accident. He carried her into another car with the help of a police officer.
In a BVG bus, direct witnesses were cared for a little later by a pastor.
The circumstances of the incident, in particular how the woman got under the car, are currently the subject of investigations. The police cannot rule out that it could be a suicide.
