Woman (52) survives six days in US forest on yogurt and snow ration | Abroad

Gullett and her boyfriend Justin Lonich, 48, were driving on dirt roads to Little Valley on April 14 when their car got stuck in the snow. They decided to spend the night in the vehicle, but in the morning the battery was empty.

According to police, the two tried to walk to the highway, but Gullett fell behind as the soles of her boots came off. When Lonich lost his girlfriend in a heavy snowfall, he sought shelter and built a campfire. The next day, after some time of searching, he found a dirt road, but again had to spend the night in the open air.

Finally, on April 17, Lonich reached the freeway and hitchhiked to Susanville, where he notified the police of their perilous adventure. Then the search for Gullett began, this is what the police write on Facebook

An officer was able to trace the vehicle three days later, also revealing a relieved Gullett. According to the police, she was very emotional, but physically fine. Even though she’d had nothing to eat but a few tubs of yogurt and snow.
