A 49-year-old woman from Schagen died last night after her car collided with another car. The accident happened on the border of Oudkarspel and Warmenhuizen on the N245/Westelijke Randweg.
The two cars collided around 11:30 p.m., leaving havoc on the road.
The woman from Schagen was alone in the car, the occupants of the other car were taken to the hospital, but nothing is known about their condition at this time.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 19-year-old man from Groningen, has been arrested. His role is currently being investigated by the Traffic Forensic Investigation.

One of the cars was a total loss, the other ended up in a ditch next to the road. The road is littered with debris and at least one pole was hit.
