The police have arrested a 33-year-old woman from Rotterdam in the investigation into the threats at two homes and the explosion at the Roef in Huizen. That’s what the police report.
The woman was arrested on Wednesday. She is not only suspected of being involved in the explosion in Huizen, but also in those in Hoef en Haag and Tienhoven. According to the police, she is also probably involved in the threat to homes in Nieuwegein and Hoef and Haag.
The suspect was brought before the examining magistrate today and remains in custody for the time being. A 42-year-old suspect from The Hague has already been detained in the investigation into the explosion.
Threat and Explosion
Huizen has been turned upside down for some time after Mayor Niek Meijer suddenly closed two homes on the Roef two months ago after an unknown security threat. The residents were brought to safety at an unknown location and security was increased in the area.
After a scaling down, an explosive went off at one of the two homes a week later. Now the homes are still locked and visible and invisible security measures are still in place.
